About Me

Hi, I’m Alading (also known as Aladdin) Kun. I recently graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s degree in Computational Modeling and Data Analytics (CMDA). My research at Virginia Tech focused on a data-driven approach to solving complex scientific problems by leveraging large datasets to develop computational models that effectively predict and analyze real-world systems.

Currently, I am in a transition period between undergraduate and graduate studies due to an application setback. During this time, I’m working with Dr. Shane Ross on a project using machine learning to predict respiratory irritation caused by red tide in Florida.

Looking ahead, I plan to reapply to graduate school with a focus on exploring new areas of computational science and engineering. I am excited to delve into different research topics, from computational simulations to advanced modeling techniques, and contribute to solving real-world challenges.
